Prime cased hole package

PRIME package for cased hole is a set of modules for processing and interpretation of geophysical surveys made on operating (cased) wells. The package allows you to analyze the current saturation of target formations, calculate flow rate for high-flow-rate and marginal wells, give a quantitative borehole influx/outflux estimate for producing and injection wells, define influx composition, calculate fluid mineralization and producing watercut.

Main capabilities
Flow profiling based on downhole flowmeter measurements
The module allows you to calculate well fluid flow velocity based on flowmeter indications and then the fluid flow rate for each formation flow area. To do so the user just needs to specify the flowmeter curves with the corresponding tool velocity curves and assign the well ID (IDs) in the depth interval surveyed. In order to improve the results of the calculation the flow meter is calibrated based on measurements made within the same survey in the shut-in well or in the area with no fluid movement (e.g. sump). When all the calculations were made an Excel report with all the input and calculated parameters will be automatically generated.
Estimation of mineralization and flow composition
Fluid mineralization and product watercut are calculated based on registered values of resistivity and water hold-up meters. The mineralization curve for a depth interval is calculated based on the cross-plots while corrections for the borehole temperature are made automatically. The producing watercut is calculated based on the water hold-up meter indications. A text report including the depth intervals and the corresponding fluid composition may be generated on the basis of the calculations. The fluid density is calculated based on the pressure gauge and deviation survey data.
Estimation of flow-rate based on build-up curve
The program is designed to estimate marginal well total inflow rate. The calculations are performed against the water hold-up or pressure meter measurements made during build-up of the well fluid. A time change of the borehole dynamic level and oil-in-water interface is controlled, composition and total inflow rate are defined.
Pulsed neutron generator data interpretation
The module is designed to define the “tau” parameter (thermal neutron life) and subsequent qualitative assessment (definition of saturation type) of the formations surveyed. The module of pulsed neutron logging data interpretation allows you to perform a quantitative assessment of the saturation (current hydrocarbon saturation index).
Geophysical calculator
The geophysical calculator is a good helpmate for an analyst when he promptly needs to calculate a formation parameter or to assess the influence of borehole thermophysical processes. For example, the calculator can be used to find the formation productivity index, Joule-Thomson coefficient and adiabatic coefficient for a certain fluid or mixture as well as the borehole fluid volume, to make an assessment of the normal warming-up of an electrical centrifugal pump etc.
Analysis of curve readings changing with time
The module is designed to read values of well survey curves (barometry, temperature log, water cut log, resistivimetry etc.) at a given depth, to visualize data, save as a WS-file, generate a conclusion and send barometry data to the Gidrozond system.
